FORMAL QUALIFICATIONS
• Qualification in teaching, social work, pastoral or youth work is desirable
• Enhanced disclosure will be required (appointment conditional on successful enhanced disclosure)
• Knowledge and ability to write reports for grants, grant proposal, and reviews
• Good computer knowledge and skills
EXPERIENCE
• Working with and leading young people in groups and one-to-one (mandatory)
• Liaising, enthusing and organising volunteer workers and fulfilling the duties listed above
• Good Bible knowledge through a grounding in Biblical studies
• Have leadership experience and proven ability to sustain a successful youth work programme and develop a relationship-based family outreach
• Encouraging, training and inspiring the leaders and helpers working with young people
PERSONAL REQUIREMENTS
• Must be a committed Christian
• Must be liked by and like young people!
• Must have a personal commitment to the Christian faith and the ability to work out and express faith in an everyday way that is demonstrable to the youth, children and families of Assynt
